History of Pride of Albany #360

In the early 1950's when Albany was just another small town, men from various places in this country and in fact from other parts of the world found a common ground upon which to meet and fellowship. it was in the year of 1958 that a group of masons brought more Masonic light to the small town of Albany, Georgia. As is usual in any community, people of the same beliefs tend to associate themselves more closely.

At the time of organizing this lodge, there were 55 Chartered members. The 55 members were Entered, Passed, and Raised by The Honorable John Wesley Dobbs, Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Master, Jurisdiction of Georgia, Prince Hall Affiliated Free and Accepted Masons. Pride of Albany #360 was organized and Chartered on May 3, 1958. The canidates were initiated in the basement of Arcadia Missionary Baptist Church in albany, Georgia.
